What Do GAMP Members Do?
The GAMP membership represents all areas of the mortgage industry, from mortgage brokers, broker/lenders and loan originators to wholesale lenders, attorneys and all other types of professionals working within the mortgage community. Below are some of the activities and benefits encompassed by membership in the association.
GAMP Members Attend Meetings, Seminars and Special Events
At GAMP luncheons and seminars, speakers enhance our knowledge of the industry and help prepare members to meet career challenges while also providing networking opportunities. Occasionally, GAMP holds special fundraisers that allow members to lend strength to industry causes and GAMP Committees also sometimes hold events. The GAMP Charitable Events Committee, which provides a way for members to interact with and enrich the community through volunteer work days, is a perfect example of this. GAMP Members Get Smart
In addition to state-approved education that GAMP offers at its own meetings and seminars that are coordinated by GAMP's Programs & Education Committee, the association promotes discounted continuing education to GAMP Members. GAMP Members Chair and Serve on Committees
Committee work provides easy exposure to members and opens the door to beneficial relationships a few people at a time. It's a way for members to pursue their own personal interests while helping GAMP progress along an upward path. Each committee has many jobs that need to be completed, from small to large. A committee member's participation is limited only by the amount of time he or she is ready to give. We hope that each GAMP Member will take a look at the Committee Sign Up Form that lists GAMP's current committees, chairs and brief descriptions of what each committee does, then get involved by joining at least one committee. GAMP Members Keep In Touch with the Industry and Each Other
Members keep in touch with industry issues through a variety of sources. Information is distributed by email broadcasts to members by GAMP and is also available to members at www.gamp.pro. Members receive complimentary monthly issues of GAMP's newspaper, The Georgia Mortgage Press. A GAMP Member Roster in Excel format is provided to each member when they join or renew, and members can request an updated roster by email at any time.
GAMP Members Believe that “Right is Might”
By joining GAMP, you align yourself with professionals whose standards are associated with quality. Our members are proud of their adherence to the GAMP Code of Ethics and Professional Standards & Best Business Practices, rules that guide each of our members in their daily business. Members find that consumers are often more secure in doing business with an individual who abides by rules ensuring fairness and honesty. GAMP Members Fight for Their Rights
GAMP's Legislative Committee and its Government Affairs Consultants, Joe Tanner & Associates, stay in close contact with state legislators and the Georgia Department of Banking & Finance, as well as with related associations within Georgia's real estate and mortgage community. This enables GAMP to have a strong voice in state legislation that affects the mortgage industry.
GAMP broadcast legislative alerts, calls to action, and solicit input from members on various issues. GAMP also encourages its members to support the Georgia Mortgage Brokers Political Action Committee (GMBPAC), a nonprofit group formed by GAMP Members to raise and disburse funds to support the election of political candidates who have an understanding of the real estate finance and housing industries and who are supportive of the mortgage broker profession.

GAMP Members Receive Recognition
GAMP is proud of its members and is pleased to promote their achievements, activities and support through various awards, recognition and sponsorship programs, announcements in the association's monthly newspaper and email broadcasts, and, on occasion, through print, television and radio advertising.

We Hope You'll Get Involved with GAMP
If you are already a GAMP Member, we're happy to have you as part of our group, and we encourage you to take advantage of all the activities and benefits that GAMP has to offer—your participation in association events will make your membership even more valuable.
If you are not currently a member, we encourage you to increase your level of professionalism by joining or renewing as soon as possible—being involved with others who are “walking in your shoes” will both enlighten you and encourage you to be your best.
If you are a consumer, we urge you to use a GAMP Member whenever you need a real estate loan. Purchasing or refinancing a home can be an easy process, but with so many choices on rates, brokers and terms, who can you turn to for answers?
